Story Overview

Now, in the year 2033, an entire generation has been born and raised underground, as the besieged Metro Station-Cities fight for survival against each other and the mutant horrors lurking outside.
You play as Artyom, who was born just before the fires of destruction but raised in the underground. Having never ventured beyond the city limits, a fateful event ignites a desperate mission to the heart of the Metro system, where you must warn the remnants of humanity about a looming threat. Your journey will take you from the forgotten catacombs beneath the subway to the desolate wastelands above, where your choices will determine the fate of mankind. But beware, the real danger may lie within.
