Build Your Own Gravship

Build your own ship and travel across the planet! Land anywhere you want to hunt for treasure, harvest food and fuel, and bring back souvenirs like exotic birds, long-forgotten gravtech, or a gold-plated charge rifle.

Your gravship starts small – just a grav engine, a few rooms, and enough chemfuel to lift off. But over time, it will become a home: a travelling colony of labs, living quarters, workshops, and anything else your colonists need.

Collect rare gravcores to expand your gravship and travel further. You’ll find them in crash-landed orbital platforms, insect-infested caves, broken-down reactors rigged with traps, and other dangerous locations.

Explore New Biomes and Landmarks

Discover diverse environments, each with unique challenges:

• Glowforest: Bioluminescent mushrooms and psychedelic spores thrive in permanent darkness, while geothermal vents belch sulfur. Normal plants can’t grow here – you’ll need to survive on fungi alone.
• Scarlands: The war-torn remains of once-thriving cities, filled with craters, vents releasing heat and gas, and constant toxic rain. Mechanoids stalk the ruins, and only dangerous mutants survive.
• Grasslands: Endless fields of golden fertile land ideal for ranching. However, drought can strike at any time, and many farms have been lost to raging brushfires.
• Glacial Plains: A prehistoric landscape with blizzards, herds of mastodons, and scimitar cats. Carve shelters into ice walls or seek refuge among buried frozen ruins.
• Lava Fields: Rivers of molten rock flow across the land, posing threats to animals, buildings, and colonists. Build barriers to divert lava and wear cloth masks to protect your lungs.

New Landmarks System

The new landmarks system combines with new biomes to create endless landscape variation. Build:

• A sprawling colony into the rockface of cliffs, chasms, crevasses, and valleys for natural defenses.
• A coastal fishing village atop heavy bridges on islands, archipelagos, atolls, peninsulas, and fjords.
• Repurposed abandoned colony buildings for your own base.
• Raid ancient structures for resources like chemfuel, weapons, components, minerals, and more.

Survive Beyond the Atmosphere

Fly your gravship into orbit! Land on:

• Collapsed orbital platforms
• Ore-rich asteroids
• Hollowed-out satellites

Search through debris for treasure, but be prepared for fights with other orbital scavengers. Mechanoid wrecks promise advanced gravtech and resources for your ship, if you can make it past their ancient defenses.

Wildlife and Animal Companions

Odyssey adds over 40 new animals that can be tamed, trained, traded, or eaten. Engage with:

• Colorful flocks of sparrows and bluebirds
• Hunting packs of scimitar cats and great wolves
• Swimming companions like seals and otters
• Cute pets such as porcupines and prairie dogs

Animals are more than just companions – they comfort your colonists, dig for resources, and hunt down foes. Even simpler creatures can be trained with a sentience catalyst, turning them into vigilant protectors. You can also go fishing for big catches like tuna, marlin, and more unusual finds.

Quests Across the Planet and Beyond

Discover quests from ancient maps, passing visitors, and anonymous signals:

• Track down the mythical alpha thrumbo and claim its priceless horn.
• Raid ancient mercenary crypts guarded by recently awakened soldiers.
• Explore abandoned orbital platforms and derelict satellites for stockpiles of loot.
• Mine asteroids rich in plasteel, uranium, and gold while avoiding pirates.

New Weapons, Traps, and Enemies

A new unique weapon system allows you to arm your colonists with special weapons:

• A sawed-off shotgun for quick room clearance
• An AI-assisted rifle scope for improved accuracy
• A fully golden revolver for style

New threats include:

• Hunter drones that chase and explode on contact
• Wasp drones with paralyzing needles
• Ancient sentries with scatterguns
• The cyclops mechanoid that fires shield-piercing gamma beams
• The insect hive queen and her chittering spawn lurking below

The Machine Hive Mind

Far above the planet, the mechhive pulses with hate. Its mechanoids reproduce endlessly and will never stop attacking until every human is dead. When you confront the inhuman mind behind this terror, you face a choice:
