Zero Hour: Tactical FPS Overview

A tactical FPS with online team-based action gameplay set in a variety of locations in Bangladesh, Zero Hour offers real-life scale and resource management. Drawing inspiration from various tactical shooter games, it aims to provide a grounded Team vs Team experience in realistic environments. Both teams are tasked with eliminating the opposing side while completing specific objectives.

Game Objectives

• Defenders: Protect the bomb from being defused and ensure the hostage is not rescued.
• Attackers: Defuse the bomb or rescue the hostage held captive.

Features

Tactical Gameplay

Zero Hour delivers a grounded 5v5, team vs team close-quarter combat experience. Each player assumes specific roles:

• Attackers: Utilize shields, weapons, and the planning table.
• Terrorists: Employ traps and gadgets to fortify their positions.

Planning Table

At the start of each round, the MS-09 Unit (the Attacking Team) can devise strategies using the planning table, featuring a 3D miniature version of the current location, akin to blueprints. This tool helps direct teammates on where to spawn and advance from. Players can place three types of markers on the planning table to indicate danger and objectives. During this phase, the Terrorists (the Defending Team) have time to set traps and gadgets to enhance their defensive strategy.

Resource Management

Both teams must manage their resources over three rounds:

• Attacking Team: Has access to 2 sets of 5 types of weapons.
• Defending Team: Utilizes 5 sets of 5 types of gadgets.

Effective resource management is crucial for saving assets, picking up and utilizing opponents’ weapons, and preventing advantages for the enemy.

Hostage Dynamics

The hostage held by the defenders has its own mindset and may attempt to escape if not monitored closely. Players must keep a vigilant eye on the hostage and move it as necessary to ensure its safety.

Realistic Door Mechanics

To enhance realism, doors play a significant role in promoting slow and tactical gameplay. Both teams must hesitate before entering a room, as the situation behind the door remains unknown.

Breaker Switch

The breaker switch can cause a complete blackout of the entire operation building. This feature forces players to rely on tactical flashlights to navigate their surroundings effectively.
